Global hotkeys
- ⌥Space
- Open or close Perch from anywhere, whatever app is in front of you.
- ⌃⌥1/⌃⌥2/⌃⌥3/⌃⌥4
- Open Perch straight into Today / Upcoming / All / No Date, from anywhere.
- Settings ▸ Hotkeys
- All five are defaults, not rules: rebind any of them, or leave one blank to switch it off. Restore Defaults puts them back.
Capture
- Just type
- Search your reminders, or write a new one in plain language — “Standup every Monday at 9 !! #Work”.
- ↩
- Create what you typed, once Perch reads a date, repeat, list, or priority in it. Until then the line stays a search.
- ⌘↩
- Always create, even when the line looks like a search.
Move and act
- ↓/↑
- Move through the list. Pressing ↑ past the first row returns you to typing.
- Space
- Complete the selected reminder.
- ⌘Z/⇧⌘Z
- Undo / redo anything: completing, rescheduling, renaming, editing, moving between lists, even deleting — a deleted reminder is put back as it was. Twenty-five steps of history, each one named in the tooltip.
- ⌫
- Delete the selected reminder.
- ⌘C
- Copy the selected reminder’s title.
Edit
- ↩or⌘E
- Edit the selected reminder in place.
- ⇥/⇧⇥
- Move between title, notes, and date.
- ⌘↩
- Save and close the editor from any field, notes included — in notes, a plain ↩ starts a new line.
- ⎋
- Step back, reverting as it goes: each press puts the field you’re in back the way it was, and the last one closes the editor. Clicking away or dismissing the panel keeps the edit instead.
- ⌃↩
- The row’s whole menu: priority, move to list, and the rest.
- ⌥⌘0–3
- Set priority directly — 0 none, 1 low, 2 medium, 3 high.
Scopes
- ⌘1/⌘2/⌘3/⌘4
- Today / Upcoming / All / No Date.
- ⌘L
- The scope menu, your lists included.
Housekeeping
- ⌘R
- Refresh from Reminders.
- ⌘O
- Open Apple Reminders.
- ⌘,
- Settings.
- ⎋
- One step back each press: clear the search, drop the selection, close the panel.
- ⌘W
- Close the panel.
- ⌘Q
- Quit Perch.
