Widgets
Widgets show matching events from a chosen view with a live countdown: without opening Soona. All widget types are available on the free tier.
Home Screen widgets
| Widget | Sizes | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Next Event | Small | The next match from one view, Card or Countdown style |
| Upcoming Events | Small, Medium | Upcoming matches listed by day |
Add a widget: long-press the Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget → Soona.
Lock Screen accessories
Two Lock Screen families are supported:
| Family | Layout |
|---|---|
| Rectangular | Title and countdown in a wide rectangle |
| Inline | Single line below the clock |
Long-press the Lock Screen → Customize → tap a data slot → Soona.
StandBy
Soona widgets work in StandBy on supported iPhones, same types and configuration as Home Screen.
Apple Watch
The Watch app and complications show the active view’s countdown on your wrist. See Apple Watch.
Configuring a widget
When adding or editing a Soona widget, you configure:
| Parameter | Options |
|---|---|
| View | Any saved view |
| Time Display | Relative days (“Tomorrow”) or live Countdown |
| Background | Gradient, Solid, or None (Home Screen widgets) |
Lock Screen accessories use the same View and Time Display options in the space their family allows.
When nothing matches
Widgets show a rotating idle message from a built-in phrase pool. There is no custom idle-message field in v1. The widget still refreshes in the background.
Privacy on Lock Screen
Lock Screen widgets follow your iPhone’s privacy settings. If your iPhone hides sensitive content until it’s unlocked (the same setting that hides notification previews), Soona’s event details are hidden the same way until you unlock.
